The REX Karmaveer Chakra Award, presented alongside the Karmaveer Global Fellowship, is an international civilian honor that recognizes individuals dedicated to driving positive social impact and advancing social justice. Instituted by the International Confederation of NGOs (iCONGO) in collaboration with the United Nations, the award carries forward the legacy of former Indian President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, who served as its ambassador. It celebrates the spirit of “Be the Change” by honoring unsung heroes—those who choose unconventional paths to create meaningful change across diverse fields such as activism, education, healthcare, and volunteering.
